Black Bear Casino Resort Sale/Auction, noon, 1785 Minnesota Highway 210, Carlton. Items include dressers, TVs, arcade games, queen and king size mattresses, lamps and more. The auction will be held in the old hotel at the address listed. All items purchased will be sold "as is" and must be removed at the time of purchase. Cash and debit/credit cards will be accepted.

Snack Chat, 3:30-5:30 p.m., Cloquet Public Library. REACH sponsors the weekly event for kids. Participants will make a snack and chat with others while they eat.

Knotweed Workshop, 6-7:30 p.m., Cloquet Public Library. Knotweed or bamboo is an invasive plant that spreads rapidly. It can damage property including lakes and stream corridors. Experts from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and the Duluth Collaborative Invasive Species Management Area will teach attendees how to identify knotweed, map it and slow its spread. No previous experience is required, and the program is free to attend.

Tooth Fairy Time, 10 a.m., Cloquet Public Library. Just Kids Dental, United Way of Carlton County and the Cloquet Public Library collaborate to offer a free 30-minute oral health and nutrition education program for early childhood aged children and their caregivers at the library. The fun, informative presentation will address the importance of proper daily brushing, flossing and good nutrition. Every child will receive a complimentary toothbrush kit that includes a bag, water bottle, toothbrush, toothpaste, tooth brushing timer, floss and stickers.

Finlandia Beach Club Barbecue Dinner, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Little Grand Lake, 7062 Nickerson Road, Saginaw. The Finlandia Beach Club hosts a barbecue dinner. Attendees will get their choice of a hamburger, cheeseburger, hot dog or brat, with potato salad, baked beans, fruit, chips, homemade desserts and beverages. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and children age 5 and under are free.

A Nesting Place, second and fourth Tuesdays of the month from 1-2 p.m. Community Memorial Hospital/Raiter Family Clinic host the free group for new moms regardless of where their baby was delivered.
