HIGH POINT – Chief executives from three leading mattress companies currently in transition are featured on Furniture Today’s 5th annual 20 People to Watch.

Purple Innovation’s Rob DeMartini, Corsicana Mattress Co.’s Eric Rhea and Shelley Huff of Serta Simmons Bedding have all been in their respective positions for less than a year. Huff was promoted Dec. 1, and DeMartini joined Purple in December in an acting role that later evolved in March. Eric Rhea took the reins at Corsicana in April.

The three bedding companies have all faced challenges. Purple with its earnings and its recent acquisition of Intellibed; Serta Simmons, most recently, with a downgrade from Moody’s Investor Services; and Corsicana is in the midst of a restructuring and pending sale.
