GhostBed will unveil the Venus Williams mattress collection at Las Vegas Market.
PLANTATION, Fla. – Boxed bed supplier GhostBed will unveil its six-model Venus Williams mattress collection at the Winter Las Vegas Market.
Designed in collaboration with the tennis superstar and founder and owner of West Palm Beach, Fla.-based interior design agency V Starr, the collection features cooling technologies to help with recovery. The Venus FIT (far infrared technology) layer is heat activated and absorbs body temperature. The company said that over time the layer will increase a sleeper’s blood flow allowing more oxygen to circulate through the sleeper’s body throughout the night.
“The debut of this collection is a major milestone for GhostBed,” said Marc Werner, president and chief executive officer of GhostBed. “We can’t wait to see the reaction of our customers and from the many retailers who have made appointments with us to see the full collection for the first time at the market. Retailers who floor the line can expect a huge lift to their traffic as Venus and GhostBed have a huge following across all marketing channels.”
The collection targets both direct-to-consumer and wholesale audiences. The 12-inch Legend models, created for direct to consumer, combines the FIT layer with a soy-based bio foam layer. Available as in a hybrid or all-foam design, the hybrid model features individually wrapped springs.
The wholesale collection includes four models, available in a 13-inch and a 14-inch profiles, as hybrid or all-foam designs. The mattresses include the FIT layer with a transition layer that provides additional pressure relief and support. Mattresses are designed with a sustainable ultra-cooling cover made with materials from recycled plastic bottles The new collection is set to retail from $1,799 to $2,999 in queen.
“When we first began designing this collection, I knew I wanted to highlight the importance of rejuvenation through a healthy night’s sleep and how it impacts daily performance,” Williams said. “We knew we had to use only the best, highest-quality materials in order to create a product that would really make a difference in someone’s life. I am so proud of what GhostBed and I have created, and I’m so excited for the collection to finally launch. I can see these mattresses in mattress retail stores across the country.”
GhostBed has developed marketing and social media plans to support the Venus Williams collection. The company will support early retail partners with customized marketing collateral, including point-of-purchase materials featuring Williams’ sleep tips.
