Winnsboro, N.C.— A group of seasoned home textiles executives are bringing a long-time foam manufacturer into the direct-to-retail business.

HealthCare Consumer Products is the recently created division of foam producer HealthCare, also known as HK-Foam, which has been supplying the bedding industry for 20 years. It has produced major programs for suppliers that have gone into Walmart, Target, Macy’s, Kohl’s, JCP, Dillards, Amazon, Wayfair, Mattress Firm and other large accounts.

HealthCare operates production facilities in eight countries around the world. Its U.S. plants are located in Arizona and North Carolina.

The executive team for the new venture includes:

“This really is a fantastic opportunity, but especially for our retail partners. And the reaction has been amazing,” said Marsh.

Bodipedic is the national house brand for the retail-direct business and will be in the spotlight during New York Home Fashions Market. The line offers three key performance attributes: cooling, durability and climate/humidity control.

“Climate is the layer between your skin and the sleeping surface,” explained Marsh. “Bodipedic takes the humidity in that personal climate area and releases it back out into the atmosphere.”

With its combination of U.S.-based and global production, HealthCare Consumer Products aims to address some of the challenges that have plagued product flow in the age of supply chain disruption.

“HealthCare can leverage cost savings, lead times and continuous production when worldly pain points arise like freight issues, tariffs, politics and weather,” said Marsh. “We have significant manufacturing in the United States, which retailers and consumers are asking us to expand.”

The company will show a complete lineup of pillows, toppers and mattresses during market week. Its New York showroom is located at 230 Fifth Ave., Suite 605.
